CALLING CARD FUN-FOOD-AND FIRECRACKERS FOR FAMLIES ON THE FOURTH Tomorrow, area residents will be gathering en famille for many, day of diversified entertainment at local clubs. Don Richards, house chairman, says in addition to the racquet meet they are planning a coin scramble at the pool and a chuck wagon barbecue dinner to be held at 6 p.m. in the clubhouse. Bows held short veils for their headpieces, and each carried a bouquet of daisies. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white silk organza designed with a scalloped rounded neckline, fitted bodice and long tapered sleeves. Mrs. Hammie Joseph Fisette of Springhill and Mrs. Genoveva Ramirez and the late Adolfo Ramirez of Laredo, Tex. The bride's father gave her in marriage. Her formal length gown of white organza had an empire bodice and A-line skirt, lavishly appliqued with Alencon lace.

Over the gown and sheer organza train fell her full-length illusion veil, flowing from a headpiece of lace and pearls. Her bouquet was a cascade of pompon chrysanthemums centered with a white orchid. Mrs. Cecil Boyd Jr. of New Orleans was matron of honor and the bride's, sister, Karen Fisette, bridesmaid.

Their babydoll frocks were of pale dotted Swiss and their bouffant headdresses were of blue maline clusters. They carried hand bouquets of white and yellow daisies tied with streamers of blue velvet ribbon. Juan Ramirez of Laredo was his brother's best man: man was Gary Lynn Slack of Springhill, and ushers were Robert Fisette of Shreveport and Randall Gandy of Lake Charles. Vows were exchanged before an altar arrangement of white gladioli, daisies, pompon chrysanthemums and gypsophila. A reception at the Restaurant followed the ceremony, after which the couple left for a brief honeymoon before returning to Metairie, where they will reside.

Miss Hays, Mr. Moore Honored An informal buffet dinner, honoring Miss Dorothy Hays and R. T. Moore III, who will be married on Aug. 8, was given on Monday evening, July 1.

The party was in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Middleton on Beverly Place.

The brass knocker on the front door was decorated with two giant red firecrackers with Dorothy and Tommy inscribed on them. A large American flag in its stand to the right of the door reminded the guests of our Fourth of July holiday. Multi colored seasonal fresh flower arrangements were noted in the reception rooms. In the dining room the buffet table was spread with a red and white checked cloth and centered with a five branch iron candelabra filled with red, white and blue candles and epergnettes surrounding the candles held small white blossoms. At the base of the arrangement, a variety of fireworks were placed, and small silk flags were used as favors at each place setting.

Rives was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. He attended Officers Candidate School in Newport, R.I., and was commissioned serving two years aboard the U.S.S. Neches in the Pacific. Mr. Rives just returned from a tour of duty in Vietnam.

Dr. Oscar Isaac Gilliland and the late Mrs. Gilliland of Delhi are his maternal grandparents, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Barnhill Rives of Lisbon are his paternal grandparents.
