Cunningham died Wednesday in Cheverly. after a brief illness. A native of St. Joe. Texas.

Stanford Parnell, assistant pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Witte died Wednesday in a San Antonio, Texas, hospital after a brief illness. A one-year resident of San Antonio, he was a native of Alice, Texas.

He was retired from the business. A member of the Christian Church, he was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of McDonald No. 324 Blue Lodge of Independence, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Ruby Witte of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Kenneth L.

Witte of Shreveport; a daughter, Jo Ellen Davis of Adrian, Mo; a brother, Frank Witte of Zwolle; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Masons. Ferguson, 45, of Longview, Texas, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Boone Funeral Home Chapel in Bossier with the Rev. Troy Long, pastor of Airline Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Vivian Cemetery in Vivian. Mr. Ferguson died Thursday at a Longview hospital after a sudden illness. A native of Norphlet, he was a former resident of Bossier City and a member of Airline Baptist Church. He was an employee of Tri State Tool.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ferguson; three sons, Leslie Ferguson, Michael Ferguson and Kelly Ferguson, all of Longivew; three daughters, Joe C. Smith James H. Police feel grudge led to boy's death SAN ANTONIO, Texas (UPI) Homicide detectives Friday theorized the Halloween torture death of a teen-ager may have been a grudge killing stemming from a previous fight.

The body of Sigfried Davila, 17, was discovered Thursday by school children taking a shortcut across a brushy wooded area on the south side of the city. Investigators said the youth had been stabbed, beaten, burned and whipped with tree branches found nearby. The body was lashed to a tree by a heavy electrical cord looped around the victim's neck. "It was an old grudge thing," one homicide detective said. "Apparently he (Davila) beat the heck out of somebody and they were just getting even with him." Charged with murder and held Friday in lieu of $50,000 bonds were David Medlin, 17, Joe D.
