Police feel grudge led to boy's death SAN ANTONIO, Texas (UPI) Homicide detectives Friday theorized the Halloween torture death of a teen-ager may have been a grudge killing stemming from a previous fight.

The body of Sigfried Davila, 17, was discovered Thursday by school children taking a shortcut across a brushy wooded area on the south side of the city. Investigators said the youth had been stabbed, beaten, burned and whipped with tree branches found nearby. The body was lashed to a tree by a heavy electrical cord looped around the victim's neck. "It was an old grudge thing," one homicide detective said. "Apparently he (Davila) beat the heck out of somebody and they were just getting even with him." Charged with murder and held Friday in lieu of $50,000 bonds were David Medlin, 17, Joe D.
