Mr. Peyton argued that the complaint that newspapers Incite crime was groundless, since the most brutal crimes were committed before newspapers ever existed. He said that many publications had actually assisted In the solution of crimes, citing the Hickman case, and declared that, the newspapers did not Interfere with officers working on the Lindbergh kidnaping.

McDermott Surrenders, Freed on $2,500 Bond Charged with operating a banking game at Club Castle In Bossier parish George W. McDermott appeared at Sheriff L. H.
